Terms and conditions
The fine print
By completing the purchase process, you are deemed to have accepted and agree to the terms and conditions set out below.
All mentions of "you" and "your" refers to the person accessing or using the website to buy a ticket for themselves or others who will use the ticket to attend any event run by Heart for Art.
All references to "We", "Our" or "Us" refers to Heart for Art owned and operated by Silke Hendel.
We reserve the right to make changes or modify some or all of these terms and conditions or any of our website content any time we want and we don't have to let you know.
Payment and pricing. Since we're in New Zealand all our pricing is in NZ dollars. So if you purchase anything from us online, your credit card will be charged in New Zealand dollars. All prices include GST.
We're free to change any of our pricing at any time and we can suspend or discontinue any of our services or products any time too and we're not obliged to let you know.
Payments and reservations. Your seat and easel are only reserved for you once we've received your payment.
Refund/Cancellation policy. All tickets are sold on a no refund, exchange or cancellation basis. If something comes up and you can't make your Paint Party, you need to let us know in advance.
Minimum notice periods are:
- For individuals or small group bookings - 48 hours.
- For group bookings of 5 to 9 people - one week.
- For group bookings of 10 or more - two weeks.
Where we can we'll reschedule you, otherwise we'll give you a credit to attend another Paint Party, but we wont issue refunds under any circumstances.
Rebookings MUST be requested via email to email@example.com or via our contact us page form.
If you're a no show and you didn't let us know within the above time frames we wont refund or reschedule you.
Heart for Art reserves the right to delay or cancel a Paint Party at any time due to class size, weather, sickness, etc.
We'll do our best to start on time, but sometimes things happen that are out of our control, things that might mean we have to delay or cancel your Paint Party.
And, we wanna stay in business so we gotta make sure we cover our overheads. That means we need minimum numbers to run a Paint Party.
If we have to delay or cancel your Paint Party, we'll get in touch with you as soon as possible. If the delay means you can no longer make it, or if we have to cancel your Paint Party, we'll give you the option of rescheduling or we'll give you a credit towards another session. We won't issue refunds.
We're not responsible for your clothing. You've come to an environment where there's gonna be paint, so please don't wear your best Armani outfit or Jimmy Choos. We'll supply you with a paint shirt and paint towel to protect your clothing, but ultimately it's up to you to dress appropriately.

You'll need to accompany your kids. Kids aged 13 - 16 are welcome but only if they promise to behave and are accompanied by a grown up (who also promises to behave). We love kids, but we're not a baby sitting service so you can't just drop your kids off and leave. Sorry, but unaccompanied kids wont be let in.
Our paintings belong to us. All our paintings are created especially for you to enjoy during our Paint Parties and can't be reproduced anywhere else, no matter how much you like them.
Promotions: You're not allowed to be greedy and use more than one promo code at once. Promo codes can't be used with any other offers or codes.
If you use a promo code to get a discount on your ticket, it wont count towards your loyalty card.
Loyalty Cards: Paint with us five times and your sixth visit is free.
You'll need to pay full price for and attend 5 Paint Parties to receive free admission for your 6th Paint Party.
Once your loyalty card is full hand it to us and we'll email you your Freebie code that you can redeem at any upcoming event. Freebie codes have to be set up manually so we'll do our best to get your code to you within 48 hours.
You can't be sneaky and give your loyalty card to someone else to help you fill it faster, cos our website booking software has a name counter thingy, so it'll know if you're trying to fudge the system.
A full loyalty card can't be swapped for cash.
Monthly prize draw. Every month we draw one name from our mailing list and that lucky person wins a free Paint Party ticket. whoo hoo!
To go in the draw all you need to do is join our mailing list (the signup box is at the bottom of our home page). If you win you can use your free ticket to attend any of our public Paint Parties.
Gift vouchers, free tickets and credits are valid forever. That's right, no expiry date. As long as Heart for Art is still operating you'll be able to use them. Awesome.
Vouchers, credits and free tickets need to be used to book a ticket to an event in advance. If you don't get a ticket beforehand we can't guarantee we'll have a spot for you. They can be used at any public Heart for Art event.
Once a gift voucher, credit or free ticket has been redeemed and a booking made, all the other terms an conditions on this page apply.
Heart for Art gift vouchers, credits and free tickets are non-refundable and can't be swapped for cash.
If the value of your gift voucher or credit is more than the cost of the event you'd like to attend, we'll credit you the difference to put towards another ticket. This doesn't apply to free tickets though.
Don't nick our web content. We hold the copyright and intellectual property for all the stuff on our website (unless it's stated otherwise). That includes all the written content, pics, logos and any other content. If you steal any of it we'll call our lawyers on ya.
Don't blame us if your computer crashes. We're not liable in any way if anything goes wrong with your computer while you're using our website or any site linked to our website.
Security. Our website is a secure site hosted by Shopify. They process all your online payments via their secure banking system so we don't keep your credit card details.
All your personal information is stored securely and wont be shared, sold or exchanged with anyone, ever.
Your Privacy. We're subject to the Privacy Act 1983. We'll keep all your personal details securely and wont share them with anyone outside the business. We'll only use your information to provide you with services in the running of our business.
By completing the check out process you agree that we can use photos taken of you at our events in any of our marketing material or advertising.
If you break it your pay for it. You agree to pay for all damages to Heart for Art premises, facilities, or property caused by your negligent, reckless or wilful actions.
If you're not happy with anything. You need to let us know as soon as practical and give us details of what you're not happy with. We'll do our best to resolve the issue, but if we can't agree to a solution we're both happy with we agree to get a mediator to sort if for us. If we still can't sort the issue we'll get the lawyers involved. We really hope we don't have to do that. We just wanna paint and have happy times with everyone.
